SamCart Integration

Hi Dom,

I am considering purchasing SamCart but I noticed it did not have a specific integration with Joomfuse/JF Portal. It integrates with Infusionsoft and the Memberium membership site but not our Joomla membership site. Is this an integration you can handle? If so, what would it cost to set up? If not, is this something you are planning in the near future?

They are running a special for the next 36 hours so I would really appreciate a response.

Thanks,

Matt Binz

If SamCart interfaces to Infusionsoft and sets the proper tags on completed orders, then you can have JoomFuse set up the Joomla user properly for you.

However, JF Portal is currently strictly an integration with Infusionsoft eCommerce, so you would lose its functionality of having your members pay their back invoices, update and add credit cards, and cancel subscription. We currently have no plans to integrate with other eCommerce platforms. We'd certainly consider writing an additional integration, but have no idea at this point what it would cost or the timeframe.

But, my first question would be what is the compelling reason to pay another eCommerce vendor an additional monthly fee?

Hi Dom,
Thanks for your reply. I think I found a workaround for allowing people to create a username and password after purchase. I also think Samcart's built in integration with Infusionsoft will allow all the appropriate tags to be set or removed and thus would integrate fine with joomfuse/JFportal after it is called from inside infusionsoft.

One additional concern I have. SamCart only integrates with Strype and Paypal. Does JF Portal integrate with these? I wasn't sure if your comment above, "JF Portal is currently strictly an integration with Infusionsoft eCommerce" means that it ONLY integrates with Infusionsoft Payments. Can you clarify? If you integrate with Strype and Paypal, do you recommend one over the other? Also, how difficult would it be to change us from IS Payments to Paypal or Strype?

Thanks,
Matt

Hi Matt,

As I said in my first reply, as long as SamCart can set the proper tag on purchase, you can use that to trigger a campaign goal that will call JoomFuse to set up the user in Joomla with the proper permissions. This is a standard use case of JoomFuse.....some event causes an Infusionsoft goal to be met in an Infusionsoft campaign, and in that campaign JoomFuse is called.

And as I also said in my previous reply, JF Portal ONLY integrates with Infusionsoft eCommerce it does not integrate with ANY outside eCommerce systems. It does not matter what payment processor you are using in your Infusionsoft (Infusionsoft payments, Authorize.net, PowerPay, etc.) it only matters that the transactions are done through either Infusionsoft order forms or the Infusionsoft shopping cart. That means that it does not matter what payment processor you are using in SamCart, JF Portal will NOT work with it. We can write an interface to SamCart, but it would be a custom development project.

Regards,
Dom

Hi Dom,

Thanks for the reply. It clarifies.

I was going through the marketplace and found a couple of order form apps that work within Infusionsoft - rather than external like SamCart.

Spiffy - marketplace.infusionsoft.com/listing/spiffy-spiffy and
FuseForms - marketplace.infusionsoft.com/listing/mar...on-group-fused-forms

Since they work inside infusionsoft and customize infusionsoft forms, can I assume they will not interfere with the integration we have with JoomFuse and JF Portal?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Matt,

I have heard, but not used either of these. If in fact they process the orders through the Infusionsoft eCommerce system, then there is no reason why JF Portal will not work for you. It does not care how the order got there as long as the order is processed by Infusionsoft and the associated payment processor. Of course testing is the best way to find out, but I do not see a problem.

It appears that FuseForms actually writes the code that you install into the standard Infusionsoft order form. If that is the case, than it will work as you are using Infusionsoft order forms.

While it is of course totally up to you, I reiterate my question as to why you need to pay another 3rd party vendor a monthly fee for your order forms. I agree that configuring Infusionsoft Order forms could be easier, but once they are done, they are done and templates are reusable. Check out this form that I did for another client. www.courtclubspecial.com. All done with the Infusionsoft order form.
